Jonathan & Jim's NYC Wedding Weekend (Part 1)
Jonathan and Jim’s wedding weekend was one for the books! Not only was it fun to work with them on the little details of their 2 day celebration, it was also a pleasure just to get to know the both of them.
Jim and Jonathan were married at City Hall in NYC, surrounded by their family members and closest friends! Both Grooms families had flown in from the Mid-West to be there for this special moment in their lives. The Grooms were dressed to impress and to be honest the one thing we noticed most about their appearance that night, wasn’t the perfectly tailored tuxes, it was the smiles on both their faces and the true happiness they exuded throughout the ceremony and throughout the rest of our time with them that weekend.
After the ceremony, everyone made their way over to Edwards Bar & Restaurant in Tribeca for an intimate dinner and drinks for a total of 50 guests. Each place setting had a personalized note from Jim and Jonathan that thanked each guest for being a part of their lives and there to celebrate with them during their big weekend. This personal touch from Jim and Jon made each guest feel special in their own way. It was so incredible to see not only the love they have for each other, but the love and commitment they have to their friends and family as well.
As the gusts poured into Edwards, they were greeted with hugs from the grooms as well as delicious cocktails and baskets of fries. Edwards has never closed for a private event before, but some how the couple convinced the owner to close for them as they are huge fans of the restaurant and its burgers, Cobb salad, and fries!
Once everyone arrived and had a drink in their hands, guests made their way to their tables which were not only lit by a handful of tealights, but also adorned with small floral arrangements of mixed white flowers and greenery. Together Jim and Jon thanked their friends and family for being there and for celebrating this weekend with them. The happiness in their faces is indescribable and the love felt in that room that night was incredible.
After a few speeches from close friends, everyone was ready to eat. Orders were taken, food was placed and the drinks kept flowing. The night was perfect and the next day’s event would be just as seamless.
